Sara Frisk believes everything can be made better through design. It’s this belief that fueled her transition to IDEO in 2006, with the goal of creating deeper impact on her clients' brands and businesses. As a Portfolio Lead for IDEO Chicago, she thrives on the complexity of how brand integrates with services, products, and digital design across various industries. Her award-winning work has helped such clients as the American Red Cross, Brooks Sports, Sherwin-Williams, Target, PNC Bank, Redbox, and Walgreens grow their brands and develop stronger, more meaningful customer relationships.

An excellence freak with a wicked sense of humor, Sara is an avid cyclist, sure-footed runner, and no-holds-barred color addict. A long-time vocal advocate for all-things Chicago design, she is honored to be AIGA Chicago’s president.

Host

Doejo is a Chicago-based digital agency sprouted from a network of cafes. Led by founders Phil Tadros and Darren Marshall, Doejo is a growing collection of creatives and developers who love good coffee and call their loft-space studio on Broadway home to discover, innovate, design, build, and deliver ideas that grow. Projects are guided by best practices, collaboration and momentum while treating each engagement as a partnership to fully invest themselves in the success of their clients.

Coffee

Bowtruss is an independent coffee roaster based in Chicago, IL. We bring together world-class roasters and coffee professionals to make specialty coffee more approachable. The space at 2934 Broadway, is our first roasting facility to primarily supply local restaurants and coffee shops. Our cozy coffee bar located in the front of the space, is welcoming to residents in the community who are interested in learning about our coffee offering, roasting process, and brewing methods.

About CreativeMornings

CreativeMornings is a monthly morning gathering for creative types. Each event includes a 20 minute lecture, followed by a 20 minute group discussion. The gathering begins at 8:30am with the topic presentation starting at 9:00am and everyone taking off for work at 10am. CreativeMornings are free of charge!
